What is the AQICS method?

The AQICS method is the whole of the principles and approaches that we adopt to improve the efficiency of hair transplantation in our clinic.

AESTHETICS

In our DK Klinik Hair Transplant Unit, an understanding of aesthetics based on science constitutes the basis of our approach.

From our own experience with the patients, as well as from the research in the field, we know that everyone wants a “better appearance”.

We are well aware of the fact that there is no point in getting a hair transplant if it will not improve your appearance in terms of aesthetic quality.

Prior to the procedure, our surgeons talk with you about your expectations from the procedure and explain what you can expect, building a strategy to get the best possible appearance.

The desired results in hair transplant can only be achieved by mixing science and art in the same pot.

QUALITY

We focus our efforts on getting the best and highest quality results instead of aiming for more customers; in other words, we prioritize quality over quantity.

For example, transplanting 5,000 grafts per day does not produce the best results for a patient. The increased number of grafts in a single day may subject your head to excessive trauma, which may lead to loss of hair in future and many negative consequences such as poor quality of transplant due to limited time.

Our own experience and research have shown that transplants involving high number of grafts prove more effective if the procedure is done in multiple sessions on different days.

Even if it increases our costs, we refuse to transplant more than 3,000 grafts per day on principle and we schedule another appointment for the next day in cases involving more grafts.

For us, quality always comes before quantity.

IMPROVEMENT

As DK Klinik Hair Transplant Unit, we always seek better, regularly reviewing our operations and continually improving our practices.

For example, the utilisation of punch tool for grafting is sufficient for many clinics, but we include the platelet-rich-plasma (PRP) therapy in the procedure to shorten the healing time and accelerate the growth of the transplanted follicles.

Besides, we store the grafts harvested from the donor site in a solution called HypoThermosol® while outside of the body awaiting placement. This solution nourishes the grafts and increases the success of the hair transplant.

We analyze the quality of your donor site based on the references in the literature, and we also examine the harvested grafts under the microscope before we begin to transplant them in your recipient site.

Our team of doctors, all of whom have ISHRS certificates, regularly participate in national and international conferences on hair transplant in order to keep up with the most recent scientific developments.

We follow the innovations that have scientific validity in the field and we incorporate them into our practice.

SCIENCE

We do not use any products or practices that have not been scientifically proven effective.

Besides, we also conduct research to ensure that hair transplantation reaches a better point all over the world and we publish our results for the review of global scientific community.

The team performing hair transplant procedures at our clinic includes a dermatologist, a hair transplant surgeon, and a microsurgery technician.

Each team member’s job description is specified and they contribute to the process with their expertise. Our team is committed to the practice of evidence-based medicine.

In short, we are inspired solely by science.
