Dermatologist Dr. Meltem Şentürk
Dr. Meltem Şentürk has had a very successful career in medicine, beginning her journey as a physician in 1994 and later specializing in dermatology in 2000.
Her residency included extensive training in advanced dermatological techniques, dermatology-cosmetology, and laser dermatology, which she pursued at the University of Vrije in Belgium in 1998.
Her dedication and expertise were recognized in 1999 when she was awarded the “Certificate of Dermato-Cosmetic Sciences” in Brussels, following her success in both basic and advanced courses in the field.
From 2000 to 2009, Dr. Şentürk served at the Antalya State Hospital, where she honed her skills and contributed significantly to the field.
Eventually, she chose to retire from the public sector, primarily due to the demands of her increasingly busy schedule, and shifted her focus entirely to her private practice.
In 2002, she established the DK Klinik, which has since become a leading dermatology and hair loss treatment center in Antalya.
The clinic, celebrating over two decades of service, is renowned for its expertise in hair transplantation and cosmetic procedures.
Each year, it attracts thousands of patients from around the globe, offering them world-class treatments and care.
Dr. Şentürk’s professional recognition further expanded when she became a candidate member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) in 2018, and subsequently, in 2021, she earned the distinction of being one of the few full members of ISHRS in Turkey.
Her clinic, DK Klinik, stands out not just for its exceptional medical services but also as a pioneer in health tourism in Antalya, having been one of the first in the region to receive accreditation in this field.

Prof. Dr. Ümit Kemal Şentürk
Prof. Dr. Ümit Kemal Şentürk has had a notable career in the medical field since graduating from Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 1987. He specialized in physiology, becoming an expert in the field by 1991, and later achieved the prestigious title of professor in physiology at Akdeniz University in 2002.
Together with his wife, Dr. Meltem Şentürk, he co-founded the DK Klinik in 2002. This clinic has grown to be a leading center for dermatology and hair loss treatment.
In his academic career at Akdeniz University, Prof. Dr. Şentürk held several key positions.
He was the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, established the Specialization Education Committee, led the Sports Sciences Department of the Faculty of Medicine, and served as the Editor of the Journal of the Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine.
His areas of special interest include the physiology of hair and skin, exercise physiology, and the management of medical education processes. Prof. Dr. Şentürk’s contributions to both the academic and clinical aspects of medicine have been significant, particularly in his specialized fields.
